Our Process

How we handle smoke odor treatment in Las Vegas

1Tell us where you smell it

Call or send the form and tell us where the fire was and which rooms still smell of smoke. Note anything that seems worse when the air conditioning runs.

2We find what's holding the smell

We walk the house with you and look at the porous materials smoke settles into: drywall, insulation, carpet and pad, fabric and wood. A smell often comes from residue you can't see.

3We clean the residue and remove what can't be saved

Smoke odor clings to soot and smoke residue, so we clean it from the surfaces in the affected rooms. Materials that hold too much of it, such as soaked insulation, are removed.

4We treat the odor

We treat the smoke odor in the rooms the smoke reached and run air scrubbers with HEPA filters to clean the air while we work. Our technicians hold the IICRC odor control certification.

Jay and his team showed care and thoroughness in the performance of their job; all three of them were not only very professional but also courteous in dealing with me (Gerard) and my wife. All our pertinent questions in relation to the damage , being currently attended to, were satisfactory answered. If I’m allowed , I’ll rate them and their performance more than five (5) STARS!!!!

Why Us

Why Las Vegas homeowners call us for smoke odor treatment

Our technicians are IICRC certified in odor control

Odor control is one of the IICRC certifications our technicians hold, along with water damage restoration and applied structural drying.

We treat the cause, not just the air

A spray can mask smoke for a day. We clean the residue the odor clings to and remove the materials holding it before we treat the odor.

The inspection is free

We come out, find where the smell is coming from and give you an estimate at no charge.

We work with your insurance company

Smoke odor is often part of a fire claim. We bill your insurance company directly and write the estimate in Xactimate, the software insurance companies use, so the odor work is documented alongside the rest of the fire damage. Your insurance company decides what your policy covers.

FAQs

Common questions about smoke odor treatment in Las Vegas

Straight answers to what people ask us before they call.

Why does the whole house smell when only one room burned?

Smoke travels through the house on air currents and settles into porous materials far from the fire, like drywall, insulation and fabric. The smell stays in those materials after the air clears.

Won't an air freshener or an open window fix it?

They can cover the smell for a while, but smoke odor clings to residue in the materials. It tends to come back until that residue is cleaned and the odor is treated.

What do you do with materials that keep smelling?

Some porous materials, such as soaked insulation or carpet pad, hold too much smoke residue to clean. We remove those from the affected rooms.

Will my insurance cover smoke odor treatment?

Smoke odor is often part of a fire claim, but policies differ and your insurance company decides what yours covers. We work with all insurance companies and help you with the claim.
