Our Process

How we handle fire damage restoration in Las Vegas

1Tell us what the fire reached

Call us or send the form, and let us know where the fire started and how far the smell has spread. Mention any water the hoses left behind, because it is part of the same loss.

2We walk through the damage with you

We go room by room with you, noting where soot settled, which rooms the smoke got into and which materials the water soaked. We talk you through our findings and the work each room needs.

3We clean up soot and smoke

We clean soot and smoke residue from walls, ceilings, cabinets and other surfaces in the affected rooms. Depending on what burned, soot can be dry and powdery or greasy, and left in place it can stain paint and discolor tile grout.

4We treat the smoke odor

Smoke odor can stay in drywall, insulation and other porous materials when the surface looks clean. Odor control is one part of our fire damage work, and we treat the smell in the rooms the smoke reached.

Jay and his team showed care and thoroughness in the performance of their job; all three of them were not only very professional but also courteous in dealing with me (Gerard) and my wife. All our pertinent questions in relation to the damage , being currently attended to, were satisfactory answered. If I’m allowed , I’ll rate them and their performance more than five (5) STARS!!!!

Why Us

Why Las Vegas homeowners call us for fire damage restoration

We handle the water after a fire

A fire leaves smoke, soot and the water used to put it out, and each one harms the house in its own way. Drywall and insulation that soaked up water from the hoses can grow mold if they stay wet. Along with fire damage restoration, we handle water damage restoration and mold remediation.

We use HEPA filters

Fine soot can hang in the air and drift back onto surfaces that were clean. Air scrubbers with HEPA filters run in the rooms where we work to clean the air during the job.

We are licensed for asbestos removal

In an older home or building, fire-damaged ceiling texture, flooring or insulation may contain asbestos. Breaking that material up can release fibers, so it should be tested before anyone disturbs it. Removal is a job for a licensed asbestos abatement contractor, and we are one.

We explain each step

Fire damage raises questions about every room. We explain each step as we come to it and answer your questions along the way, so you know which rooms we are working in and why.

We offer fire damage restoration across Las Vegas

We offer fire damage restoration to homes and businesses in the Las Vegas valley, including Henderson and Enterprise.

Most valley homes are built on concrete slabs without basements, so water poured on a fire can spread under carpet and flooring rather than drain away.

FAQs

Common questions about fire damage restoration in Las Vegas

Straight answers to what people ask us before they call.

When can we go back into the house after a fire?

When the fire department tells you the building is safe to enter. Flames, heat and hose water can weaken ceilings, floors and stairs, so stay out until then. For a health question about the smoke, ask your doctor.

Should we start wiping up the soot ourselves?

It is better to leave it for now. Wiping soot can smear it into paint and fabric, and some household cleaners can set the stain. Keep the air conditioning and any swamp cooler switched off, since either one can blow soot through the ducts into the rest of the house.

Why does the whole house smell of smoke when one room burned?

Smoke does not stay in the room that burned. It moves down hallways, into closets and through air ducts, leaving residue and odor in rooms the flames never touched. So a room can need smoke cleanup and odor control without a single scorch mark.

Will my insurance cover smoke, soot and water damage from a fire?

That comes down to your policy. Whichever company insures you, we talk with them. The smoke, the soot and the hose water all came from one fire, but policies differ, and what yours covers is something your insurance company decides.

Is a small kitchen fire worth calling about?

It often is. A small fire on the stove can push soot into cabinets and vents and leave the nearby rooms smelling of smoke. We charge nothing to look at it and give you an estimate, so you know what you are dealing with.
